Worry less, smile more. Don’t regret, just learn and grow

Hey everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted this week; I know you have all been missing your dose of Mummy Meg and Rory! You'll be very happy to hear I have now completed my second year of uni! woooo..... yayyy!! My assignments were loooonggg and with a needy child too... hard, hard work. Celebrated with two bottles of wine a few evenings ago and I forgot to eat... honestly, not one of my better moves, but then this is coming from the woman who didn't know she was pregnant, so I mean... what do I know?!

So this week has actually been a really good one! Rory and I are down in Taunton visiting family and my Ralphie dog! Sometimes it is nice to get away from your surroundings and remove yourself from your life for a while and just chill, a lot like taking a holiday I guess... unfortunately I was unable to get on a flight not due to anything medical as it may sound, but due to funds so we hitched a ride with Horace down to Taunton instead! Good old change of scenery and some adult conversation... definitely makes a change from having in length conversations with Aurora about how Peppa Pig doesn't say please or thank you when she should, or how Marshall is her favourite pup in Paw Patrol!

So, since the last time... my picture book, not to brag.... has basically gone viral! (Horatio has since corrected me!) Still though, I am so proud!! My book - "Months of the year" is the top most popular book on the website and the feedback I have gotten is amazing! In eight days I have over two hundred views, nearly one hundred comments and a bunch of likes and hearts! For something that was only meant to be an aid for my university coursework purely so I could write one thousand words on it, it has become a pretty big thing!! Who'd have thunk it!! Not me, that's for sure! A load of people have even said that they want me to write some more stories... so hey I might just become a children's author now! Watch this space!!

I have also come to realise that considering I gave up French in year nine - rookie error, definitely should have stuck with French and not gone on to do Spanish - I am actually really good at French! I was helping Horatio with his homework and I was getting really into it! Horatio thought I was really strange although not as weird as when he witnessed me doing my yoga! Yep... I have stuck with it, and honestly, I do feel a lot better. I am definitely more aware of my surroundings and my breathing but also my posture has improved and even though I have only been doing it for a week now I am more flexible and can nearly touch my toes... okay, nearly might be a bit of a stretch (hope someone appreciated that banging pun!) but I can definitely reach closer to my toes than before!

I hope you all had a magnificent month of May; I know I certainly did! I also just want to take this opportunity to say thank you. Thank you to those of you who read my blog, whether it be every post or whenever you fancy checking in! I have been doing this now for six weeks and I have and will continue to learn a lot about myself and challenge myself through writing these posts. So thank you to those of you who share and like my posts and stick with me through the more emotional posts! I honestly didn't expect so many of you to read it! I know I put it on my social media accounts, but I never thought it would be as popular as it is! Also thanks to Rory who without even knowing it has provided me with some incredibly funny stories to tell you all!

Ps. We totally wore matching outfits the other day! We both had our Harry Potter T-shirts on, jeans and pink converse! It was something very special... until she got car sick and threw up over us. So I guess that made it pretty clear what she thought of that idea!

Many thanks, sincerely!
